Certain leg veins in the superficial venous system, i.e. the veins that course between the skin and the muscle layer and are involved with varicose veins, are amenable to minimally invasive procedures. These procedures cause the treated veins to immediately shut down and over time disappear. The procedures are done in office under local anesthesia and may involve mild sedation or alternatively conscious sedation anesthesia. These treatments are fast and easy on the patient.
